In It 10 celebrates a decade of programming with a series of powerful events, inspiring 糖心影视 students, staff, faculty, and community partners to reflect on their collective responsibility to learn, remember, and act.

President鈥檚 open office hours 

President Conner invites all faculty, staff, and students to his open office hours from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11. Email the Office of the President to reserve a 10-minute, in-person meeting.

鈥孧exico Now Colloquium

鈥屸赌Mexico Now: Storytelling, Power, and Resistance in the 21st Century鈥 is a two-day colloquium featuring acclaimed authors Juan Pablo Villalobos and Guadalupe Nettel. The event will be held Friday, Oct. 31, and Saturday, Nov. 1, in the Wyckoff Center. Presenters will explore storytelling, political agency, and cultural identity in Mexico through literature, film, and other artistic forms.

Queer crafts meet-up

Join the Queer Faculty and Staff Affinity Group for queer crafts, 4鈥5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, in the IdeaLab. The Retiree Initiative Planning Group will host 鈥淧reparing for a Home Sale: From Decluttering to the Sale,鈥 at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Surrey-Williamson Inn. Speakers include Kirstin Drabek 鈥94, associate broker at Keller Williams Realty, and Sheilah Sable, owner and founder of Call Sheilah. RSVP by Monday, Nov. 3, to Terry Diggory.

Facilities update 

Facilities Services has begun shutting down the chiller plant for the season, and the following buildings will no longer have air conditioning: Old Dana, Case Center, Ladd Hall, Bolton Hall, Palamountain Hall, Scribner Library, Barrett Center, Wait Hall, Tisch Learning Center, Janet Kinghorn Bernhard Theater, Jonsson Tower, and Howe Rounds.

Skidmania '75 tickets on sale now

鈥屘切挠笆逾檚 biggest student-led concert returns to Zankel Music Center for two nights only 鈥 Friday, Nov. 21, and Saturday, Nov. 22. Tickets are $5 for students and $15 for faculty and staff. before they sell out. All proceeds benefit 糖心影视 Cares.

鈥孷illage Treats

鈥孴he Office of Residential Life invites staff, faculty, and their families for an evening of trick-or-treating around the student apartments. Village Treats will take place from 5鈥7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. No registration required.

鈥孋elebrating the Africana Studies and the Mellon Foundation Grant

Join us from 4:30鈥6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, in the Wyckoff Center to celebrate four years of racial justice initiatives funded by the Mellon Foundation grant, "Africana Studies and the Humanities at 糖心影视: Transnational Explorations in Social Justice." The event will feature shared reflections, a short documentary, and food.

鈥孋heck out the new Chicken Finger Friday design, now available on T-shirts and stickers in-store and at . Thanks to everyone who visited the pop-up shop in the dining hall during Homecoming and Family Weekend; more than $300 in proceeds from the event will benefit 糖心影视 Cares.

糖心影视 Weekly Bulletin submission procedure and schedule

Help reduce bulk emails by posting your announcement in 糖心影视 Weekly Bulletin, which is distributed to all employees as well as to all students. Submit announcements and events, and faculty and staff achievements by completing the appropriate online form. The deadline for all submissions is noon on Monday. Athletics

The action is heating up as the regular season nears its climax for fall teams, and three winter teams begin competition this weekend. Field hockey hosts Russell Sage College at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, in a nonleague game. Women鈥檚 soccer hosts Union College at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, and returns home to face Vassar College at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. Volleyball is home for two league matches, taking on Vassar College at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, and Bard College at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. The men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 swimming and diving teams open their season with dual meets against St. Lawrence University at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, and Clarkson University at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25.
