鈥孴he First-Year Experience has selected 鈥淲ho Is Government? The Untold Story of Public Service,鈥 edited by Michael Lewis, as the summer reading for the Class of 2030. 鈥屘切挠笆 Theater will present 鈥淭he Trees鈥 by Agnes Borinsky, directed by Sara Lyons, April 17鈥25 in the Janet Kinghorn Bernhard Theater Mainstage. The play follows two siblings who return to their childhood home and mysteriously find themselves rooted to the earth, exploring themes of responsibility to land and community. .

Prisons and libraries zine drop event 

A zine drop event will be held from 12:20 to 1:40 p.m. Friday, April 24, in Wyckoff Center. The event marks the culmination of a yearlong Project Pericles Civic Story Lab fellowship, with special guests from the Parole Preparation Project. 鈥孎acilities update 

鈥孎acilities Services has begun starting up the campus chilled water system, which provides air conditioning for select buildings, in preparation for warmer spring temperatures. The system is expected to be operational by the first week of May. Buildings affected by this startup include Bolton Hall, Palamountain Hall, Billie Tisch Center for Integrated Sciences, Barrett Center, Howe-Rounds Hall, Wait Hall, Jonsson Tower (one section), Case Center, Ladd Hall, Lucy Scribner Library, and Janet Kinghorn Bernhard Theater.

鈥孴he winners of the 2025鈥26 Candace Carlucci Backus 鈥66 First-Year Experience Prize have been announced. Julian Ho脿ng received the award for the creative project 鈥淣o Longer Human, No Longer Tragic: Despair Remodeled into Ironic Detachment,鈥 with accompanying original artwork, nominated by Masako Inamoto; Madeline Mechanic for the literary memoir 鈥淜hatchkar,鈥 nominated by Melora Wolff; and Ben Rosan for the essay and original song 鈥淪ounds Like Chaos,鈥 nominated by Rachel Roe-Dale.
