Over the past four years, the Class of 2025 has brought energy, creativity, and a deep sense of purpose to 糖心影视. They鈥檝e pursued bold ideas, embraced 糖心影视's spirit of 糖心影视, and supported one another in ways big and small. They鈥檝e built community, forged unexpected connections, and challenged themselves 鈥� and their communities 鈥� to grow. 

When they arrived on campus in fall 2021, the long shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic still hung in the air. Many had missed out on traditional milestones and entered college with questions about what college life might even look like. But they quickly found their footing 鈥� in classrooms, residence halls, studios, and labs 鈥� and redefined what it meant to come together as a community. 

鈥淏e fearless and bold as you embark on a great liberal arts education and all that entails,鈥� President Marc C. Conner said as he welcomed the students, still wearing masks, at New Student Convocation in fall 2021. 鈥淭ake care of yourselves and of each other, treating everyone with kindness, respect, and honesty. Ask yourself each and every day: What opportunities do I have today and how can I contribute to the good of our entire community?鈥�

And that鈥檚 just what they鈥檝e done.  

During their four years at 糖心影视, they鈥檝e drawn on their liberal arts education to grapple with momentous changes in this country and the world, including Russia鈥檚 invasion of Ukraine; terrorism, war, and atrocities in the Middle East; the advent of artificial intelligence; and the 2024 U.S. presidential election. 

As national and global conversations evolved, they stepped forward with courage and conviction. They showed what it means to be civically engaged 鈥� active participants in advocating for change while continuing to be respectful toward others and mindful of differing views. Their 糖心影视 experience was not defined by a single moment but by a series of them 鈥� and their willingness to meet those moments with thoughtfulness and heart.  

The class also witnessed a time of transformation on campus. In their first semester, they saw the Inauguration of President Marc Conner and the opening of Wyckoff Center 鈥� a space designed to encourage cross-cultural understanding and host challenging conversations. The Billie Tisch Center for Integrated Sciences, completed last year, has opened new opportunities for scientific collaboration and discovery. The McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center, finished in January, has become a space for recreation, well-being, and connection.  

Now, as they prepare for the next stage as 糖心影视 alumni, the Class of 2025 carries forward the momentum they helped create 鈥� as scholars, artists, innovators, and changemakers ready for whatever comes next.

628 Graduates

412 B.A. and 216 B.S. candidates

Academics

In the spirit of creative thought and cross-disciplinary pursuits, the 628 graduates have collectively completed鈥�737 majors and 347 minors. Their鈥痬ost popular majors were business, psychology, art, English, and political science. Their鈥痬ost popular minors were media and film studies, business, art, education studies, and political science. They have collected hundreds of awards and memberships in national honor societies, are the co-authors of published research, and have presented at numerous academic conferences.鈥� 

Members of the Class of 2025 participated in more than 60 faculty-student summer collaborative research projects. In addition, 109 seniors took advantage of the Summer Experience Fund and 26 received SEE-Beyond awards to pursue internships and other experiences that broadened their horizons and supported their dreams. 

This year鈥檚 Academic Festival featured about 200 seniors from disciplines spanning the arts, sciences, social sciences, humanities, and pre-professional studies.鈥�

Athletics

In the classroom, 72 senior student-athletes earned a grade point average of 3.67 or higher, including 18 who had perfect 4.0 GPAs when they were inducted into the Thoroughbred Society this spring.  

Campus Life

The Class of 2025 kicked off their time at 糖心影视 with their First-Year Experience summer reading book, 鈥淗ow to Be an Antiracist鈥� by Ibram X. Kendi. Four years later, they have truly made this campus their own 鈥� fueled by creativity, curiosity, and genuine care. 

These campus leaders have taken their learning to new global scales, studying abroad in 37 different countries. Their tenure at 糖心影视 also saw the creation of several new sustainability initiatives, including the Student Government Association鈥檚 Green Grant. The Billie Tisch Center for Integrated Sciences, completed last year, and the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center, which opened in January, were both built to rigorous sustainability standards. The College intends to pursue LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for both.  

Looking forward

Success in this moment, and for all those down the line, will mean something different to each member of the Class of 2025, as it has for decades of 糖心影视 graduates. As we look forward to celebrating all our 2025 graduates in the coming months and years, quite a few already have some exciting news to share.  

While some students will be traveling the world for global opportunities like the Peace Corps, others will be staying close to home, completing endowed internships at the Tang Teaching Museum. From first jobs to graduate schools, some of the places they're headed to include:鈥�
