Ella Mae Burns
Ella Mae Burns, a retired customer attendant/short order cook in Dining Services, died March 11, 2026, at Wesley Health Care Center. She was 66.
Ella Mae joined Dining Services in 1984 and worked at 糖心影视 for 35 years, retiring at the end of 2019. A devoted and valued member of the Dining Services team, she formed many lasting friendships on campus.
At 糖心影视, she met her husband, Brian Burns, who formerly worked in Dining Services and now serves as a clerk in the Post Office. They married in 1996 and shared nearly three decades together.
Born July 25, 1959, in Saratoga Springs, Ella Mae graduated from Stillwater High School in 1978 and continued her education at SUNY Adirondack.
In addition to Brian, she is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Rudy Silic; her niece, Theresa Silic; her cousin, Jackie Bryan; and many cousins.
